HISTORY SOCIETY ESSAYS

Thes essays below were created by Dave Holmes as examples of what information can be retrieved from the  Society archive digitalisation project that we referred to at a recent Society meeting

Once we have established that everything is working correctly, the ultimate objective is to give the villagers access themselves to the project.

In the meantime please let me know of any similar queries / essays that you would like investigated eg house history, names of relatives etc via email. drh011217@gmail.com.

Each ‘essay’ request only takes a few minutes to generate and we can then add that to the listing for everyone to access if you allow

Additionally, the Society would very much like any other historic information including photos, pictures, letters, booklets etc etc If you can pass this on we can ‘scan’ it and add it to the archive, thus adding detail to any further requests. This keeps the archive as an ‘living’ entity

It would also help if you may know of information from third parties that we may be able to access
